Sunderland CVS as a Local Delivery Agent for the Government’s NEW Modernisation Fund Grants Programme will be holding a series of free workshops across the area in June and July. New funding website launched
Sunderland 4 Community is a new funding website. It is a comprehensive database of funds available in the Sunderland area and is simple and easy to use. To access it visit:

Changes to Awards for All
Awards for All makes grants of between £300 and £10,000 to Voluntary groups, Schools, Parish/Town councils and Health bodies. From the 1st April the criteria for applying will change. Further details can be found here>>
Safe, Sociable and Sensible Small Grant
£50,000 in small grants of up to £2,500 to Sunderland’s voluntary and community sector, on behalf of the NHS Trust, South of Tyne & Wear. For further details see the flyer
Grassroots Grants
The income limit for applicants to the Grassroots Grants programme has been raised from £20,000 per year to £30,000 with immediate effect.
The grants are intended to benefit the community, so can be very wide ranging, including the purchase of equipment such as computers or kitchen facilities, a local community event and small-scale training.

Targeted Support Fund – open to applications.
In February 2009, the Office of the Third Sector (OTS) launched an action plan to help charities, volunteers and social enterprises. It pledges up to £42.5 million to help the third sector deliver extra help to those that need it most during the economic downturn. Further information is available here>>
