SCVS Interactive Database

Exciting opportunity to influence information collected on the VCS within Sunderland

Sunderland CVS in partnership with the Sunderland City Council e-neighbourhoods team have plans to create an interactive online database. It would essentially be a comprehensive City of Sunderland online directory of voluntary and community organisations.  The directory would be available in hard copy booklet and on cd rom and of course via the internet. In addition the resource base will allow shared key documents to be drawn on, for example model constitutions, policy documents and funding guidance papers.

What will be included?

Why?
The database will enable Sunderland CVS to effectively disseminate vital information to relevant groups on funding , policy etc.

It will assist in SCVS determining what the needs of the sector will be in the future

Voluntary and community groups are increasingly being asked to work in partnership to revitalise the economic, environmental and social well-being of our citizens. The database will help groups to find suitable partnerships.

Your ideas and needs?
We would like your input. The database needs to be useful, workable and applicable for all individuals, groups and organisations to use.

We need to find out what information you think should be stored?

A list of possible information that could be collected as part of the database is available to download: Database Consultation Questionnaire

We would be grateful if you could read through the document and identify which information you would like to be included by marking the appropriate box.  Please be aware not all of the fields will be searchable to the public – as it depends on what each individual wants to remain private.

Any suggestions for information that you would require or think useful please add to the last section.
