Quality Systems
There are a number of Quality Standards that have been developed, either specifically for the voluntary and community sector, or that can be tailored to an organisation's needs. This section gives information on the main quality standards and how to find out more about them.

Standards
There are a number of standards that relate to the voluntary and community sector.

Toolkits
Sunderland Centre for Voluntary Service have produced two toolkits as an aid for voluntary and community groups to find in one place, sources of useful information which will help them to understand, access and hopefully implement good practice in respect of some of the key areas of development.

There is a large range of resources available, via the internet, but we recognise that this presumes that groups and organisations such as yours have the access to the internet, the time to search for items and the time to follow up. By doing the ‘surfing’ for you we hope to make this process easier, and perhaps, it will draw your attention to some resources or aspects of the role of ICT in sustainable development of your organisation which you would not otherwise have known about or would not consider.

The toolkits are avaiable to download below:

What are local area agreements?
'What are local area agreements?' is an information leaflet for LIOs and the broader third sector. It explains how local area agreements (LAAs) work and why and how third sector organisations should engage with them. http://www.navca.org.uk/publications/laas
