Football Association 1st 4sport Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football
Coaches First has been established to provide access to subsidised coach education and training courses for sports coaches (existing and potential new coaches) who wish to obtain a recognised level one coaching qualification.

In return for the subsidised training opportunities the successful applicants are requested to deliver 10 hours of voluntary coaching within their local community, i.e. school, club or community organisation If you are interested in submitting an application, please complete the application form and return it to the Sports & Leisure, at the address indicated, with the required supporting information.

Working Together Tyne and Wear (WTTW)
WTTW's VCS Skillsbase project is delivering an exciting and varied range of Accredited training for the Voluntary Sector in Tyne and Wear. These training opportunities are free to those aged 25 or over and either working or volunteering within the voluntary sector within Tyne and Wear. The Main Contractor for this project is the Workers Education Association North East Region.

Online Course New starters in the voluntary sector can now enrol online for the 2008 NCVO Working For A Charity online course, this will give them an overview of working for a charity and boost their career. The course, Effective Voluntary Sector Management, is aimed at people who have recently joined the voluntary sector or who are looking to make a career move into it.
